Crux Studio is a boutique design firm established in 2004 by architects Mark Smeaton and Rebecca Thompson. The firm specializes in residential (both custom and remodel) as well as commercial and tenant improvement projects. The team has over 30 years experience in the residential and commercial markets.
From traditional remodels, to highly complex hillside contemporary structures, to multi-family buildings, Crux Studio has designed numerous custom residential projects. The firm’s experience also includes commercial office buildings, tenant improvements, warehouses, dance studios, and commercial kitchens and restaurants.
Crux Studio aspires to contribute meaningfully to the built environment with the utmost integrity and resourcefulness. It is their objective to create fresh quality architecture through honest business practices and by listening and responding to their clients needs. Crux’s practice and office is small, which allows the team to work directly and intimately with its clients.
