American Indian Jewelry & Art Santa Fe Crafts Inc was established in 1984. Owners Barbara Goldeen and John Selmer offer high quality, authentic Native American Indian jewelry and crafts as well as vintage Mexican jewelry to customers throughout the world. We have developed private collections of Native American Indian jewelry and crafts in the United States and Japan that include Hopi basketry and katsina dolls, Native American Indian jewelry and Pueblo pottery. In 1998, we mounted the first museum exhibition devoted to Hopi Third Mesa wicker basketry at the Southwest Museum in Los Angeles. We contributed to the exhibition and catalog titled, Circles Of Life, at the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah, California, from March through June, 2006, which traveled to the Arizona State Museum. We have lectured on Hopi Third Mesa wicker basketry at major museums throughout the U.S. Barbara Goldeen is a certified accredited appraiser. She completed the Certificate program in Appraisal Studies at Northwestern University in Chicago, offered in conjunction with the American Society of Appraisers and is a member of Appraisers National Association. She prepares USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant appraisals of Native American Indian material mandated by the Appraisal Standards Board and meets the Appraiser Qualification Criteria set forth by the Appraisers Qualification Board. The Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History and the Autry National Center as well as private individuals, have employed her appraisal and evaluation services for many years.
