During this difficult time, we want to remind you that we are a community that supports and uplifts one another, and resources are available to help you stay safe. Places of Refuge: • The South Pasadena Senior Center (1102 Oxley St.) is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • The South Pasadena Public Library (1100 Oxley St.) is open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 👉🏻 Both locations are available during their normal operating hours to provide a safe space for those in need. Emergency Updates and Resources: • For wildfire updates, evacuation zones, and road closures, visit fire.ca.gov or use the Watch Duty app. • An emergency shelter is available at the Pasadena Civic Center (300 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91101). • Call 911 to report downed power lines and stay at least 30 feet away. Power outages can be reported to SoCal Edison. • City of South Pasadena Emergency Contacts: • Police (non-emergency): (626) 403-7297 • Fire (non-emergency): (626) 403-7300 • City Services Directory: (626) 403-7200 Safety Reminders: • If you are in an evacuation zone, leave immediately for your safety and the safety of first responders. • Check in on family, friends, and neighbors—especially those who may not have power or internet but may still have cell service. • Stay indoors as much as possible if it is safe to do so. Monitor air quality and use air purifiers or N95 masks to limit smoke exposure. As we navigate this emergency, we want to recognize the resilience of our community and the hard work of first responders who are tirelessly working to keep us safe. ⛑️ For additional updates, follow official sources like city government websites, CalFire, and local emergency radio channels. Stay safe and take care!
