FWDB’s federally funded employment program

The Foothill Workforce Development Board (FWDB) is seeking businesses that are willing to offer a second chance to individuals that have been justice-involved. This program pays for participants to work for 2 months (approximately 232 hours; up to 29 hours per week) with a company that will allow them to gain work experience and enhance their skills towards more sustainable employment.

Employers will have the opportunity to interview the individual and decide if they will be a good fit. FWDB provides all necessary forms (worksite agreement and time sheets). Employers are not obligated to keep a participant and may terminate employment at any time.

Participants’ wages are paid completely through program funding. No cost to the employer.
