Last night, June 13 Special Meeting on Just Cause Eviction Moratorium was heard by Council, and will be brought back at a special meeting tentatively scheduled for June 28.

Upcoming, June 21 Council Meeting includes the adoption of the FY 23-24 budget

Business Quarterly Downtown District Meeting on May 10, 2023

  • On May 10, 2023 the City’s Economic Development team brought back the downtown district quarterly meetings to give businesses a space to talk about any feedback and needs. During this meeting, a couple of business representatives brought up a great point to bring more legislative efforts into our business resources. The suggestions brought up included:
    • Legislative support for South Pasadena businesses
    • Workforce development tools and resources for students who want to join the workforce, including professionalism, mental health resources, and interview preparation tools
    • Any other business support efforts in our legislative representative offices that we can share (Assemblymember Fong, Supervisor Barger, Congresswoman Chu, Senator Portantino)
