Need a mental vacation? If you’re wistful for the romance, glamour and grace of another time & place…We’ve got you covered with this tuneful tonic for troubling times, featuring rare musical gems from the Jazz Age to the Swinging Era and beyond!
Jeudi Cornejo Brealey, the “Vintage-Voiced Chanteuse” and creator of the wildly popular Jazz-Age juke box musical “Love Outshines the Moon” continues her newest Starlit Stage residency with Joie de Diva monthly cabaret concert series, exploring different musical themes designed to lighten your woes and transport you to a joyous place.
May’s performance takes a walk through Jazz Age Paris, Tin Pan Alley and the Great American Songbook. On this wanderlusty trip, Jeudi’s travel singing companion is Michael Marlen-Starr. Musical Direction by Charlie Harrison.
Concert will feature a post-performance vintage hat sale to benefit our friend & milliner, Andie Cohen-Healy, in the aftermath of her losses in the Eaton Fire. 100% of these hat sales go directly to Andie’s GoFundMe page.
Jeudi says: “The Jeweled Universe is my “Home in Pasadena” (If you know, you know). This special setting is a unique artistic boutique that celebrates the visual, wearable and performing arts. It’s a delightful place filled with treasures perfectly suited for grown up Easter baskets.”
As always, vintage or festive attire is encouraged!
Those who purchase advance tickets will have an opportunity to pre-order a French bistro box of charcuterie delights to enjoy during the performance.
