A Spoken Word, Music, and Art Event
Featuring Poet Michael C Ford and Multi-instrumentalist Charlie Campagna
at the SPARC South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Gallery, January 2, 2022
The South Pasadena Arts Council will host noted Pulitzer- and Grammy-nominated poet Michael C Ford (Emergency Exits) at the SPARC Gallery on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 4 p.m. in a spoken word performance with music provided by multi-instrumentalist Charlie Campagna, a composer for contemporary dance and contributor to such films as Dune, Ghost in the Shell, Selma, and Blade Runner 2049. Admission is free. Please note: proof of vaccination status and masks will be required in adherence to Covid-19 health and safety protocols.
Also in the Gallery: SPARC’s continuing “Holiday Group Art Exhibition,” featuring watercolor and oil paintings, collage, ceramics, and soft sculpture by artists Victoria Arriola, Michael Campagna, Elaine Carhartt, Laurie Hendricks, Shelley Stephens, Rebecca Tager, Cynthia Thiel, and Ella Trimarchi.

Founded as a grassroots effort in 2009, the South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts organization that develops educational and public arts programs, creates interactive projects, and collaborates with other organizations in the City of South Pasadena and the surrounding Los Angeles area to foster and produce cultural events featuring the visual, performing, literary and media arts.
