About SouthPas

Just south of Pasadena is a small town – the city of South Pasadena.
Our historic Mission Street is home to an eclectic mix of unique boutiques and eateries. On Fair Oaks Avenue (part of the original Route 66!) you’ll find a nostalgic soda fountain right alongside trendy cafés, shops and stops.

Great schools mean business here
The South Pasadena Unified School District’s schools are repeatedly ranked among the best in California. Great schools attract great people who like to live, work and play in their own back yard.

The Arts are alive in South Pas!
We’re home to a thriving art & music scene. Always a hit are our summertime Concerts-in-the-Park, or the Restoration Concert Series, benefiting the public library. Our quarterly Arts Crawls are the very popular “neighborhood-night-on-the-town” events where businesses stay open later on a Saturday night and offer special events and activities. Our signature event, the Eclectic Music Festival & Arts Crawl, is a one-of-a-kind, grassroots event that brings arts of all genres to the streets of town.

Pure Americana
Check out our Fourth of July Parade, known as the Festival of Balloons! And every New Years Day for over a century we’ve had a float in the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade. For fresh, California-grown healthy foods, come every Thursday evening to the South Pasadena Certified Farmers’ Market.

A Taste of South Pasadena
Enjoy a large variety of foodie stops right here in town – whether you’re out looking for brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks or a cup of coffee you’re sure to find something right up your alley.

Par 3 for the Course
A South Pas gem is the Arroyo Seco Golf Course, offering affordable golf to the Los Angeles area in a secluded spot. The course features 18 holes of par 3 golf, a lighted driving range, putting green, miniature golf, restaurant & bar and pro shop facilities. There are countless other ways to stay active in town – from the newly opened Arroyo Bike Trail, the lovely parks and sports venues of all kinds to classes for all fitness interests and levels. Even our 4-legged friends can romp and play at the “South Paws-adena” dog park!
