South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Pasadena SBDC (Small Business Development Center) to provide our membership with No Cost Business Advising.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) aims to assist entrepreneurs succeed with low-cost training and no-cost one-on-one advising from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts. Strategically guiding business owners in areas such as: increased sales, obtaining loans/capital, streamline operations, utilize new technologies, expanding into new markets, and position themselves for long-term growth and prosperity, just to name a few. They are the premier destination for start-ups and small businesses to gather resources, obtain expert consulting and effective trainings that deliver sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
SBDC will begin their office hours at Priority One Credit Union (1631 Huntington Drive. South Pasadena) every Tuesday from 9:00am – 12:00pm beginning January 26, 2016. Book your appointment with an advisor today or email SBDC@pasadena.edu.

Despite rain, an early Sunday morning and it being Super Bowl Sunday, there was a fun crowd on hand to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting of Lost Parrot Cafe. They are a cool, new coffee shop/cafe located at 1929 Huntington Drive. On hand to celebrate this new business is Avick Manoukian, SPPOA, Winston Secrest and Justin Prietto, owners of Lost Parrot Cafe, Mayor Dr. Marina Khubesrian, Mayor Pro Tem Bob Joe, Evette Kim, from the office of Senator Anthony Portantino and Laurie Astle, Chamber Ambassador.
