Arroyo Seco Golf Course

Opened to the public in 1950, the Arroyo seco golf course is a shady hideaway from the “city” life of South Pasadena.There you can find a driving range, an exemplary mini golf course, and of course, a golf course. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the arroyo seco golf course offers instructional private lessons and group clinics. At the arroyo seco you are able to hold tournaments at the golf course, rent out the mini golf course, and host banquets and birthday parties! You can also enjoy their cafe that hosts weeks happy hours from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The newly renovated golf course is equipped with 9 extravagant holes, and their golf course contains 18-holes, Par 54, and is 1,953 yards. Their driving range has 33 stalls with distances marked from 50 to 250 yards.

Freestyle Fitness/Mission Street Yoga

At MSY the goal is to bring peace, health and joy to everyone who practices yoga there. They offer a wide range of yoga; Basic Yoga, all levels, Yoga Express, Yoga 1/2, Rise and Shine Yoga, Pilates Sculpt, Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Therapeutics, Baby and Me Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, and $5 Vipassana Meditation. Each class is an authentic offering of their highly trained and credentialed instructors. The classes are for the beginner or the advanced practitioner and are designed to engage students at every level. If you are a new student your first class is free so join them today!

The Playhouse Pilates mission is to help people live strong and pain-free lives through optimal alignment and movement. They are a boutique Pilates studio specializing in Body Smart & Performing Art programs based in Pilates concepts and principles.

Divergent Crossfit

Divergent Crossfit caters to all types of individuals, with group classes and private training available. Progressive coaching and a focus on technique ensure you’re getting an efficient workout while having fun at the same time. Divergent offers morning hours from 5am – 12pm and evening hours from 4:30pm – 8:30pm with a full schedule of crossfit classes, beginner classes and olympic weightlifting classes. Arroyo Seco Racquet Club

The iTennis Arroyo Seco is open Monday through Friday from 8 am. to 9:30 pm. And on Saturday and Sunday from 8 am. through 7 pm. They have 9 lighted Championship tennis courts, 1 children’s multi-purpose court, and 4 indoor Squash courts. For both Tennis and Squash; they offer group clinics, private lessons, USTA leagues and activities for players of all ages and abilities. iTennis Arroyo Seco is open to the public. Although membership with additional benefits are available! For one member the monthly cost is $70.00, for a family monthly the cost is $90.00. They also provide a full service pro shop with racquet stringing. Join them down at the Arroyo today!

Wine and Song – Deepmix

You can find this local live music wonder right down at the Arroyo Seco Golf Course. Hosted weekly by Brad Colerick, experience Wine and Song every Wednesday and on Thursdays you can enjoy Jazz and Blues. Apart from the adjacent Arroyo Seco Grill which offers a variety of food, you can bring in your own wine for a $10 corkage fee. Considered a mid weekly spirit lifting hootenanny, wine and song starts at 7 p.m. join Brad Colerick and his talented chosen artists now at the arroyo!

Urban Kitchen

Urban Kitchen is a recreational cooking school. The fabulous contemporary kitchen is located a few blocks away from the Mission Street Metro Gold Line and our weekly Farmer’s Market. Urban Kitchen’s mission is to bring people together to learn, create, and savor delicious, seasonal meals. Their chef instructors are classically trained with real world experience. Their philosophy on food and eating is to start with the freshest ingredients available, taking time to prepare and enjoy each bite and connect with friends and family. Chef Michelle and Chef Terri Wahl are ready to introduce you to the culinary world of creativity!

AYSO region 214

AYSO Region 214 is a California non-profit organization whose mission is to provide soccer to youths in South Pasadena and San Marino and the surrounding area. They operate as one of the regional organizations in the national AYSO organization.

Region 214 participates with other Regions in Area 1-C in different programs throughout the year, including the Fall Upper Division program (U16-U19), Fall season Playthrough playoffs, All-Stars and The Spring Cup.

South Pasadena Little League

Garfield Park

Garfield Park is 7 acres of improved park, including playground equipment, 2 tennis courts (lighted), picnic areas, and groomed parkland.

Garfield Park is a popular place for birthdays and picnics. It is also the place where community activities such as the Summer Concerts in the Park and other community gatherings take place. Other facilities include a Youth House, Healing Garden, playground, walking path, tennis courts, drinking fountains and a small fire ring. The park is surrounded by residential development.

Eddie Park and House

Eddie Park is located on the southeast corner of Chelten Way and Edgewood Drive. The small 0.75 acre park includes the historic Eddie House, group barbecue area, and an open lawn area and small play area. The park is framed by a three-foot high brick wall.

The two story Eddie House and grounds were donated to the City by the Eddie family. The 2,200 square foot building is an example of Transitional Craftsman architecture. Only the first floor is utilized as a meeting place for various groups and programs that include: Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Orange Grove Park

The 2.5 acre rectangular shaped Orange Grove Park is located at Mission Street and Orange Grove Avenue. As one of the City’s older parks, the site was formerly a beer garden and gaming house in 1886.

Today, Orange Grove Park is an active recreation park providing facilities for a lighted softball and soccer field, 2 lighted tennis courts, and a small playground.

Orange Grove Park has a two-story 9,500 square feet recreation building. The first floor of the building is used for recreation and day care programs. It is also equipped with a restroom accessible from outside of the building. The second floor serves as meeting space. Other park amenities include: drinking fountains, picnic tables, bleachers, and a bicycle rack.

Arroyo Park

Arroyo Park is 19.9 acres of improved parkland, including lighted athletic fields, playground equipment, and picnic areas. There are also included undeveloped lands, and a flood channel.
The park is divided into three sections: The upper section includes three lighted sports fields with backstops, parking and a small concession/storage building, and it is utilized regularly by the local Little League, American Youth Soccer Organization and softball leagues. The center portion of the park includes: group picnic shelter, tables, barbecue, a playground, storage building and a small amphitheater.

The southern portion of the park includes two lighted softball fields.
Both the upper and lower parts of the park are utilized for soccer during the fall season.
An equestrian/hiking trail is on the south and west perimeter of the park connecting to the Arroyo Park.

South Paws-adena Dog Park

South Pasadena’s dog park is located in the Arroyo Park and is adorably named ‘South Paws-adena Dog Park’ thanks to a contest held by Girl Scout Troop 11231. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and owners must be in attendance at all times within the dog park while their dogs are present.
