Meet Paula Han, the recovering attorney behind Handle & Gift!

Provide a brief description of Handle’s products:

Handle is a retail shop carrying home decor items and gifts. We have a range of products but they’ve been curated to be the most beautiful, interesting or high quality items in each category.

What do you enjoy most about doing business in South Pasadena?

The best part about having a business in South Pasadena is the warm reception from residents. People in the community tell me all the time that they are rooting for my business to succeed, and they show it by being loyal customers!

What are your favorite local spots?

I’m a big fan of my neighbors on Mission Street. The Maya Salon is always giving me shout outs on social media. The Munch Co is where I get many delicious sandwiches.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

I went to Tokyo last year and that really stood out as a place to hone my aesthetic tastes and get continued inspiration in all things design.

Anything else you’d like to tell us about yourself and your business?

I’m a recovering attorney and I really enjoy being a small business owner and going to work in the shop everyday.
