Adobe Design: Expect the best for you and your home!
Meet Sue Stranger – owner of Adobe Designs, a unique gift store carrying home accents, decorative products, objets d’art, custom jewelry, spices/herbs for that European flair, hand-milled soaps and candles galore!
Sue notes that she was fortunate to have inherited her grandmother’s creative gene – she has been creating one thing or another since the age of 8 and opened her first store in Virginia at the age of 23.
New to the business community of South Pasadena, Sue loves the community spirit and the pedestrian lifestyle. One of her favorite local spots is Mike & Anne’s and she’s been a long time admirer and customer of Fair Oaks Pharmacy.
If you cant find what your looking for at Adobe Designs or anywhere else, and you need something for a certain place – reach out to Sue! She’s helped design homes for many customers and greatly enjoys hunting for treasures and finding just the right ‘objet d’art’ unique to you!

Provide a brief description of your business’s services or products:
Adobe Design is a unique gift store, carrying home accents, decorative products, objets d’art, custom jewelry, spices/herbs for that European flair, hand-milled soaps and candles galore.
What brought you into this field of business:
I was very fortunate to have been born with my grandmothers creative gene. I have been creating one thing or another since I was eight years old. I had my first store in Virginia when I was 23, my second in Palos Verdes at 26.
What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?:
Follow your Heart
What do you enjoy most about doing business in South Pasadena?:
I’ve only been here for 5 weeks, but I love the vibe, the community spirit, the pedestrian lifestyle.
What is your favorite local spot?:
I haven’t explored enough yet. I do love Mike and Anne’s.
Who in the community do you look up to or admire?:
I have to admire “Fair Oaks Pharmacy” I first started bringing my kids there 25 years ago…even though the owners changed hands…they kept the look, the feel and the integrity of this awesome place. It brings joy to my granddaughter as it did to my kids.
What do you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?:
If you really want something, jump in with both feet and go for it!
Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?:
Marrakesh, Morocco…the history, the Medina and the buildings, the culture, the colors, the smells, the hustle and bustle of so many people, the Soukes are all so kind, the food is wonderful. I would go again and again.
Anything else you’d like to tell us about yourself or your business?:
If you cant find what your looking for in my store or anywhere else, and you need something for a certain place, let me know…I love looking for treasures and finding just the right objet d’art unique to only you. Personal service and attention to your needs is what I truly love. I have designed many homes for my customers and have been lucky to work with two fabulous designers (at different times)
